Real Estate Law
Rogier Visser | Martijn Jasper | Leah van Putten
What is real estate law and what subjects does it cover?
Real estate law is the term used for the comprehensive set of rules pertaining to
transactions such as (sub)letting and renting commercial and residential premises, buying and selling real estate, and land development and construction projects. Certa Legal can offer its assistance in all
these areas.
How can we be of service to you?
We provide advice on the drafting of tenancy, lease and purchase contracts, and can also assist you in resolving or litigating any
disputes that may arise in these fields. For instance, under Dutch law, landlords may not always terminate a tenancy contract, whilst tenants are sometimes required to object to a notice of termination in a
timely fashion. Or a dispute may arise between the seller and the buyer of a home or some other property about whether it conforms to the agreed specifications. We work in tandem with a number of civil-law
notaries, so that our advice can extend to include notarial issues.
